My challenge for 2010

Everyone needs a good challenge, right? Here’s mine:

Over the last few years of craft craziness, I have amassed a huge amount of supplies. I’m one of those people who changes their mind about what to make all the time, I get a new idea, buy the supplies for it, then move on to something else. I bet I can’t even recall half of the things I’ve planned on making with all this stuff!

So my personal challenge this year is to use it all up! My crafts that I sell this year will be ever-changing, but I’m hoping that because of it I:

A). Pare down my craft room to a workable area (where I don’t have to move something to get to something else, seriously).

B). Find some new crafts to make.

I’ll post my new works on the blog as I make them. Which reminds me, it’s February, and I have to get January’s work up…

P.S.- Maybe I’ll even post photos of the craft room, and how it shapes up. It’s pretty ugly in there right now!

I’m thrilled to be in the 2010 edition of apronology!

My “Grandma’s Best Towels” apron is featured in the 2010 edition of apronology.  This has always been one of my favorite pieces, and I’m happy to be able to share it with everyone!

And, it will be up for sale when I get it back from apronology, so  if you are interested in owning it for yourself, let me know!

Check out some of the highlights from the current edition too!

New work

I have quite a few new things about halfway done, but here is a shot of one of the finished pieces I will have next at the Ferndale DIY Street Fair:

barrette

The button cluster is a mixture of new and vintage, and it has a metal clasp barrette.  I will have some of these as brooches as well.  These will not be going on the Etsy site until after next weekend, but will be for sale at the DIY Street Fair next Saturday and Sunday, in the Handmade Detroit tent.  Come on by to see these and lots more great handmade items!
